The art created and shown on this site has to do with the following back story.
Over 16 years ago, Roger Hedgecock commissioned John Wismont to paint portraits of one-hundred people who contributed to the development and spirit of San Diego. The portraits took three months to cover nine interior walls of his newly acquired restaurant located in the Gaslamp District. Fast forward to 2014, the restaurant had been abandon by it’s second owner. The mural spilled over into a front room that had been a gambling hall frequented by Wyatt Earp. Now the present fear was, when a new owner took over, the mural would be destroyed before enough funds could be raised to save it by physically removing it. Documentation by Photos, videos and interviews were made to put together a documentary. While searching for a host, Pat Brown was approached for the position, and the concept to produce a TV pilot was born. In future programs other local San Diego artist will be spot lighted and presented future audiences.
